3 Springs Farm---where honey is found & Katahdins abound
3 Springs Farm

More than half of our farm is wooded and includes several streams and two ponds. This helps to support the native wildlife in our area, as conservation is an issue we are committed to.
Our animals are naturally and humanely raised on pasture – which is our farm operating philosophy. We primarily practice rotational grazing and use parasite resistant stock.
We started in 2006 raising Katahdin hair sheep, added

History
The original 36+ acre property was purchased in the mid 1970’s by Barbara and Lee Lipscomb (picture at right), who then moved to the farm in the early 1990’s. Their hard work improved the property - by adding a pond, an irrigation system, building a home & work buildings, and cleaning up the land.
Their care and stewardship of the property left the land much improved by the time they sold the farm to us. It was a privilege to get the land and start our dream – thank you Barb & Lee! They then moved to Pennsylvania in 2007 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Our Tennessee goats were added because of Lee – he grew up on a farm in Tennessee and had an uncle that owned such goats.
Since the original purchase, additional acreage has been added to the farm. This has helped further our mission to raise animals naturally and humanely on pasture and help preserve wildlife.
